TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Entrants

1.1 The Competition is open to all residents of South Africa.

1.2 Directors, members, partners, agents, consultants, tenants or employees of WWF-SA, AfriCamps Routes (Pty) Ltd t/a AfriCamps Boutique Glamping (“AfriCamps”) and Re.Bag.Re.Use and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this competition.

1.3 This competition will not be open to persons under the age of 18 .

2. Term

2.1 The competition opens on 4 March 2024 and closes at midnight on 22 March 2024.

3. The Prizes

3.1 One first prize consisting of an AfriCamps Boutique Glamping getaway voucher for the winner and up to 4 additional guests at any one of their 19 locations across South Africa. (Finer details related to this prize only)

a) The prize is a 2-night stay at any AfriCamps glamping location, valued at R7,800, excluding peak season and long weekends, and is valid until 31 March 2026. Peak season dates differ between camps and must be confirmed by the winner on AfriCamps’ website.

b) The prize is valid for up to 5 persons staying in one tent.

c) Pets are not allowed at any camp except AfriCamps at Stanford Hills in Stanford, AfriCamps at de Pakhuys, AfriCamps at Karoo 1 and AfriCamps Klein Karoo, where one pet is allowed per tent.

d) The voucher is only valid for 2 consecutive nights at one AfriCamps location.

e) Certain minimum night stay requirements may apply. In such cases a guest may be required to book an additional night or nights at their own cost.

f) All AfriCamps locations are self-catering. The prize does not include any extras like meals, transport or activities, but these can be ordered at an additional cost to the winner when making a booking. All standard AfriCamps terms and conditions will apply, except for payment terms, as this stay is complimentary. Please view additional terms and conditions on the AfriCamps website

3.2 The second prize consists of 5 WWF-SA Shop vouchers to the total value of R500.00 each, ,one voucher to be awarded to 5 winners respectively as set out in clause 4 and 5 below.

3.3 The third prize is one upcycled Re.Bag.Re.Use shopping bag valued at R350.00, to be awarded to 1 winner.

3.4 The Prizes include postage to the winner’s given address, provided such address is in South Africa, in the case of vouchers, these will be sent to the winners’ email address provided as set out in clause 4.1.1. The winners must provide identification and confirm receipt of prizes on delivery.

3.5 In the event that a Prize specified in the Competition becomes unavailable for any reason, WWF-SA may, at its sole discretion, substitute it with a Prize of like or equal value.

4. Entries

4.1 Entrants may enter and stand a chance to win the first prize of the competition by completing the sign-up form on WWF’s website (wwf.org.za/earthhour) before the closing date of the competition and by providing their first name, surname and email address.

4.2 Entrants may enter and stand a chance to win the second or third prize of the competition by sharing their pledge on their personal social media accounts (i.e. Facebook, X and Instagram) and tagging in the WWF South Africa social handle.

4.3 WWF-SA takes no responsibility for any inability of an entrant to enter, complete, continue or conclude the competition due to equipment or technical malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnection or otherwise.

4.4 By entering this competition the entrant accepts the full terms, conditions and rules of this competition and agrees to abide by these rules and any requirements and/or proceedings issued by WWF-SA in regard to the competition.

5. The Winner

5.1 The Prize will be awarded to six entrants drawn at random (overseen by an independent auditor, accountant, attorney or advocate), by the Executive Manager of Communications, WWF South Africa. The entry drawn first for entries made in terms of 4.1 above, will receive the first prize and for entries made in terms of clause 4.2 above subsequent first 5 entries drawn will receive the prizes detailed in 3.2 above.

5.2 The Winners will be notified by WWF-SA via email_ within 7 days of the Prize draw. If the email address provided by the entrant is not valid, they will forfeit the Prize, and another winner will be selected on the same basis.

5.3 In the event that for reasons beyond the control of WWF-SA, the draw cannot take place on a date specified, WWF-SA will conduct the draw as soon as reasonably possible and notify entrants of such new draw date.

5.4 The Winner may be invited to be photographed, interviewed or participate in other marketing activity conducted by WWF-SA. The Winner has the right to decline such invitation.

5.5 The results of the competition will be verified by an independent auditor, accountant, attorney or advocate selected by WWF-SA.

5.6 The Winner accepts the Prize entirely at their own risk and indemnifies WWF-SA in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, or property damage that may occur in connection with the Prize to the fullest extent allowed by law.

5.7 The Prize is exclusively for the Winner and is neither transferable nor exchangeable for cash or another Prize, and must be accepted by the Winner within 7 days of being notified of winning the Prize or they will forfeit the Prize.

5.8 Where a diligent attempt to contact the Winner fails or the winner elects not to take the Prize or is unable to take the Prize for whatever reason WWF-SA reserves the right to either select another Winner or not award a Prize at all, in its sole discretion.

5.9 If, after notification, the Prize is not collected or receipt of it taken within 30 days of the winner being announced, it will be regarded as forfeit.

5.10 By submitting an entry to the competition and using WWF-SA’s websites or social media platforms to publish entries, entrants warrant that such entries are their own original work and that they are the creators and owners of any intellectual property in such work and grant to WWF-SA the perpetual, royalty-free right, except where prohibited by law to use the design, get-up and contents thereof for any purpose whatsoever.

5.11 By entering this competition, the Entrant acknowledges that their personal information will be shared with the Promoter and its agents to the extent necessary to conduct the competition and for prizes to be delivered to winners.

5.12 By entering this competition and submitting your personal information, you authorise the Promoter to process your personal information in accordance with South African data protection and customer protection laws.

5.13 Entrants may request from WWF-SA details of their information held and to update and / or correct their information.

6. The Promoter

6.2 WWF-SA reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of any entry and to refuse the entry of any person who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or who tampers with any process in redeeming the Prize.

6.3 WWF-SA may refuse the redemption of any Prize in the event of any irregularities or fraudulent activities.
