1. Entrants
1.1 The Competition is open to all residents of South Africa.
1.2 Directors, members, partners, agents, consultants, tenants or employees of WWF-SA, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this competition.
1.3 This competition will not be open to persons under the age of 18.
2. Term
2.1 The competition opens on 10 March 2021 and closes at midnight on 25 March 2021.
3. The Prize
3.1 First Prize is a cash prize of R3 000.00 for the local hero that has been nominated. The person nominating them wins an AfriCamps Boutique Glamping getaway voucher for up to 5 guests at any one of their 11 locations across South Africa. (Finer details related to this prize only)
a) The prize voucher will be valid for 12 months from the issue date, and cannot be redeemed during peak season. Peak season dates differ between camps and can be confirmed on AfriCamps’ website.
b) The prize is valid for up to 5 guests staying in one tent.
c) Pets are not allowed at any camp except AfriCamps at Stanford Hills in Stanford, where one pet is allowed per tent.
d) The voucher is only valid for 2 consecutive nights at one AfriCamps location.
e) Certain minimum night stay requirements may apply. In such cases a guest may be required to book an additional night or nights at their own cost.
f) All AfriCamps locations are self-catering. The prize does not include any extras like meals, transport or activities, but these can be ordered at an additional cost to the winner when making a booking. All standard AfriCamps terms and conditions will apply, except for payment terms, as this stay is complimentary. 3.2 Second Prize is a cash prize of R3 000.00 for the local hero nominated. The person nominating them will receive a Wild Card Family Membership, the card gives you one year's unlimited entry to 80+ national parks, reserves and resorts in Southern Africa.
3.3 Third Prize is a cash prize of R500 for the local hero nominated. The person nominating them will receive WWF-SA Shop Voucher to the value of R500.
3.4 The Prizes don’t include postage to the entrant’s given address, provided such address is in South Africa. The winner must provide identification sign on receipt of the Prize when they receive it.
3.5 In the event that the Prize specified in the Competition becomes unavailable for any reason, WWF-SA may substitute a Prize of like or equal value.
4. Entries
4.1 Entrants may enter and stand a chance to win the competition on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram by commenting on the WWF South Africa Facebook competition posts, replying to specific WWF South Africa competition tweets (on Twitter) or tagging and the relevant competition hashtag in an Instagram feed post.
4.2 The entrants need to nominate their local/community nature hero by:
a) Providing WWF South Africa the name, image and a short description of the local hero (nominating them) in the comments section on Facebook, Twitter replies or Instagram feed post; and
b) Using the hashtag #localnaturehero and tag @wwfsouthafrica in their comment, reply or feed post.
c) if the entrant nominates a person under the age of 18, the entrant must obtain the minor's parent(s) or legal guardian(s) written consent to nominate the minor for entry into the competition.
4.3 Entrants may enter the promotional competition as many times as they wish; however, participants are only eligible for one Prize under the promotional competition.
4.4 WWF-SA takes no responsibility for any inability of an entrant to enter, complete, continue or conclude the competition due to equipment or technical malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnection or otherwise.
4.5 By entering this competition, the entrant accepts the full terms, conditions and rules of this competition and agrees to abide by these rules and any requirements and/or proceedings issued by WWF-SA in regard to the competition.
5. The Winner
5.1 The Prize will be awarded to three entrants drawn at random (overseen by an independent auditor), by the Executive Manager of Communications, WWF South Africa,
5.1.1 The Winners will be selected by means of a random draw to be held on 30 March 2021 and will be notified immediately via the platform through which their entry was received.
5.1.2 The winner will need to supply all the information required correctly (Email address, contact number and delivery address) within 7 days of notification of winning the prize.
5.2 The results of the competition will be verified by an independent auditor selected by WWF-SA.
5.3 The Winner accepts the Prize entirely at their own risk and indemnifies WWF-SA in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, or property damage that may occur in connection with the Prize to the fullest extent allowed by law.
5.4 The Prize is exclusively for the Winner and is neither transferable nor exchangeable for cash or another Prize, and must be accepted by the Winner within one month of being notified of winning the Prize or they will forfeit the Prize.
5.5 Where a diligent attempt to contact the Winner fails or the winner elects not to take the Prize or is unable to take the Prize for whatever reason WWF-SA reserves the right to either select another Winner or not award a Prize at all, in its sole discretion.
5.6 If, after notification, the Prize is not collected or receipt of it taken within one month of the winner being announced, it will be regarded as forfeit.
5.7 By entering this competition, the Entrant acknowledges that their personal information will be shared with the Promoter and its agents to the extent necessary to conduct the competition and for prizes to be delivered to winners.
5.8 By entering this competition and submitting your personal information, you authorise the Promoter to process your personal information in accordance with South African data protection and customer protection laws.
5.9 Entrants may request from WWF-SA details of their information held and to update and / or correct their information.
5.10 WWF-SA will not be liable for any costs incurred by a winner in claiming, collecting, taking delivery of or utilising the Prize.
6. The Promoter
6.1 WWF-SA reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of any entry and to refuse the entry of any person who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or who tampers with any process in redeeming the Prize.
6.2 WWF-SA may refuse the redemption of any Prize in the event of any irregularities or fraudulent activities.
